Jasprit Bumrah once again showed his class with a stunning five-wicket haul in the ongoing game between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

While Mumbai Indians ended up conceding 196 runs in the game, the right-arm pacer maintained an economy rate of less than six runs per over while also picking up five wickets. He conceded only 21 runs in his four overs. The latest performance with the ball has taken his overall economy rate in the competition to less than six. He now has a stunning economy rate of just 5.95.

He gave MI a solid start by dismissing the in-form Virat Kohli for just three runs. Later, he dismissed a well-set Faf du Plessis for 61 before blowing away RCB’s lower-order. Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Mahipal Lomror (0), Saurav Chauhan (9), and Vijaykumar Vyshak (0) cheaply to complete his second five-wicket haul in the IPL.

And while Jasprit Bumrah picked up five wickets in the game, the best of the lot was definitely the delivery that he bowled to get Mahpil Lomror’s wicket. The India pace spearhead bowled his trademark toe-crushing yorker and the RCB batter had no answer to it. Lomror tried to defend the ball but was completely beaten by it. The ball went on to hit him on his toe and he was given out lbw straightaway.

Talking about the game, RCB finished their innings on 196/8. After losing the wickets of Virat Kohli and Will Jacks inside the powerplay, RCB’s innings was revived by half-centuries from du Plessis and Rajat Patidar. Dinesh Karthik then scored an unbeaten 53 off just 23 balls to take his team to the 190-plus total.

RCB are eyeing their second win of the season tonight and will be desperate to get back to winning ways. They have managed to win just one of their opening five games and have lost their last three games as well.
